The Resurgence Collection is a collaboration between Supported Soul and Sḵwálwen Botanicals. This collection invites Indigenous cultural context and representation into spaces where we connect to ourselves through yoga, movement, and breath.
A portion of sales from each mat will be donated to The hiýám Project, a collaboration between Satinflower Nurseries and Sḵwálwen Botanicals that facilitates thousands of seeds planted on the lands of Indigenous communities.

Care + Maintenance:
The Pro-Grip series is a high-performance tool designed for those who prioritize an unbeatable, non-slip surface. Because this specialized material works hard to absorb moisture and provide superior grip, it requires specific care to maintain its precision-engineered 'open-cell' structure. Think of it as an elite athlete: with the right TLC, it will perform at its peak for you.
To protect the surface and ensure your mat performs at its peak, please follow these professional guidelines:
-
Before First Use: Wipe your mat with a soft cloth and warm water to remove any slight residue from the laser-engraving process.
-
Cleaning: Use only water or a designated PU-safe mat spray. Best to clean right after use so sweat does not settle. Work in small sections and gently wipe immediately with a soft cloth in a circular motion. The mat is highly absorbent; clean and dry the surface quickly rather than letting liquids soak in. Do not wash in the shower, soak, or submerge the mat in water.
-
Avoid: Vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, harsh chemicals, household cleaners, undiluted dish soap or scrubbing with anything abrasive.
-
The "Studio Spray" Risk: We strongly recommend avoiding shared studio sprays. Many of these cleaners contain high concentrations of essential oils or alcohol. These ingredients can clog the open-cell structure, compromise the grip, and lead to premature peeling.
-
Dry Completely: Always hang the mat to dry fully after every use before rolling. Rolling a damp mat can trap moisture, causing the surface to stick or peel over time.
-
Roll Correctly: Always roll the mat with the top (PU grip side) facing out. This keeps the surface smooth and prevents the corners from curling.
-
Towel Choice: If using a towel, please avoid those with silicone grips/dots, as the friction can damage the specialized PU surface.
-
Infrared Studios: The intense, direct nature of Infrared heating panels can act as an accelerant on the natural life cycle of high-grip PU mats. While this signature grip is what makes your practice safe and slip-free, the material is more sensitive to these specific heat frequencies than a standard studio environment. Following care instructions is vital for Pro Grip mats used in heated environments.
-
Sunlight & Heat: Do not leave your mat in a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight. UV exposure and extreme temperatures can compromise the molecular bond of the PU, leading to premature aging or "gumminess."
-
Lotions & Oils: Avoid using heavy oils or lotions before practice. Excess oils can fill the microscopic pores of the material, reducing the reliable, locked-in feel of the grip.
