FAQ

FIND YOUR PERFECT MAT

1. Which mat is best for my practice style?

We offer four distinct high-performance surfaces based on how and where you move:

The All-In-One Mat: A yoga towel and premium mat in ONE.
Even if you don’t typically use a yoga towel, this type of mat should be considered especially if you are a "sweaty yogi" or practice primarily in a hot or Infrared studio. Its specialized 'wet-grip' responds to moisture, reaching peak stability as your session intensifies. If you prefer immediate traction during a dry start, a light spray of water will trigger the grip instantly. Highly durable and low-maintenance, this mat is reversible, easy to sanitize, and fully machine-washable for an occasional deep clean.

Ideal for: Hot and Infrared studio use, high-perspiration fitness sessions and sweaty yoga practices. Its soft-touch suede surface makes it a cozy companion for Pilates, Restorative, and Yin.

The Original Pro Grip Mat: The Gold Standard for Stability.
Features industry-leading, open-cell technology with a shiny high-tack PU surface. Engineered for those who prioritize an immediate "locked-in" feel, it allows for maximum stability in technical poses. The Original offers our strongest "dry-to-wet" grip for maximum traction, and all designs include integrated alignment lines to guide your practice.

Ideal for: Vinyasa, Power, Hatha, Ashtanga Yoga, Pilates, home yoga/fitness practices.• Note: Consistent daily use of a Pro Grip mat in Hot/Infrared studios can accelerate the aging of open-cell PU if care instructions are not followed carefully.

The Pro Grip Luxe Mat: Performance meets Sophistication.
All the technical performance of our Pro Grip with a refined, matte surface designed for a pristine aesthetic. The Luxe finish features specialized micro-pores that help mask the surface marks and scuffs natural to high-traction mats. While the Original offers a slightly deeper "suction" for more extreme sweat, the Luxe offers a refined, high-performance grip for those who value a sleek aesthetic during their practice.

Ideal for: Vinyasa, Power, Hatha, Ashtanga Yoga, Pilates, home yoga/fitness practices.

The Cork Mat: The Earth-Friendly Powerhouse.
Naturally antimicrobial and eco-conscious, cork provides a unique "mechanical grip" that actually improves as you get warmer. It is a favorite for hot yoga enthusiasts and those who prefer a firm, organic, and grounding surface.

Ideal for: Hot Yoga, grounding Hatha, and eco-conscious practitioners who want a naturally bacteria-resistant surface.

2. I practice in Infrared Heat—which mat should I choose?
While our Pro Grip is a favourite for many, the specialized open-cell material can have a shortened lifespan if exposed to consistent, intense infrared heat without meticulous care (please view full care instructions below).

For a low-maintenance, high-durability option dedicated to daily hot or infrared sessions, we highly recommend the All-In-One Mat. It is specifically engineered to thrive in high heat and heavy sweat.

For Pro Grip & Luxe Owners: If you practice in an Infrared studio, please ensure you wipe away all sweat immediately after class with water or a designated PU-safe mat spray (skip the studio spray) and allow the mat to air-dry completely in a cool area. Consistent exposure to intense infrared heat without proper cleaning and drying can accelerate the aging of the PU surface.

3. Do I need a yoga towel with the All-In-One Mat?
No! The All-In-One is designed to be your mat and towel in one. The absorbent suede surface has a "wet grip" that actually increases as you get warmer, making it the most reliable choice for a sweaty flow.

4. Do I need a yoga towel with the Pro Grip Mat? No! The Pro Grip's absorbent open-cell technology replaces the need for a towel. We recommend skipping the towel to feel the full "locked-in" effect of the mat. If you choose to use one, avoid towels with silicone dots as they can damage the mat’s high-traction surface over time.

5. How do I clean and care for my mat?

Each of our mats is engineered with different high-performance materials, so their care rituals vary. Here is a quick guide to keeping your mat in peak condition:

  • All-In-One Mat: Our most durable option! We recommend a simple "spray and wipe" after most practices. Treat this mat like your favourite pair of jeans and only machine wash when in need of a deep clean (no agitator, cold, delicate cycle, hang to dry). Avoid bleach, drying in the dryer, or extended sun exposure.

  • Cork Mat: Naturally antimicrobial. Use a soft cloth dampened with plain, lukewarm water. and always roll with the cork side facing out to prevent cracking.

  • Pro Grip & Luxe Mats: These high-traction surfaces have "open-cell" pores. Clean with water or a PU-safe spray only immediately after use. Avoid studio sprays, vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, harsh chemicals, and household cleaners. Never wash in the shower, soak or submerge in water, or scrub with anything abrasive. Allow the mat to air dry completely after each use and before rolling up with PU surface side facing outward.

6. I’m a "Sweaty Yogi"—what do I choose?If you sweat heavily and immediately:

  • The All-In-One: Offers an absorbent, towel-like suede surface that is ultra-durable, machine-washable, and thrives in high-moisture and Infrared environments.
If you prefer a dry, tacky grip from the first breath: The Pro Grip Series is your best match. Its open-cell "suction" technology provides an immediate, locked-in feel before you even start to sweat.
  • Pro Tip: To maintain the high-performance surface, ensure you allow your mat to air-dry completely between sessions and follow our specific care instructions to avoid premature surface degradation.
    • Note: For daily, high-intensity Infrared sessions, we recommend the All-In-One series for maximum longevity.

✺ The Science of Grip: Choosing Your Surface

MOISTURE-WICKING (The All-In-One & Cork Series)

These mats feature a solid, non-porous natural rubber base that acts as a hygienic shield, preventing moisture and bacteria from ever penetrating the core of your mat.

  • All-In-One Mat: Engineered with a specialized absorbent suede top layer heat-fused to the closed-cell base. This surface is designed to wick moisture to trigger its signature "wet grip." Because the rubber underneath is sealed, sweat never "soaks through" to the middle of the mat, keeping it lightweight and fresh.

  • Cork Mat: A natural alternative that utilizes Suberin—a waxy, antimicrobial substance. Like the All-In-One, its closed-cell structure keeps moisture on the surface where it can be easily wiped away.

  • The Benefit: Superior Hygiene & Durability. Because the core remains sealed, these mats stay fresh longer and are the most resilient choice for high-heat environments like Infrared studios.

MOISTURE-ABSORBING (The Pro Grip & Pro Grip Luxe)

Think of an open-cell mat like a high-density, technical sponge designed for precision.

  • How it works: The surface features microscopic "open cells" that pull moisture into the top layer to create an instant, dry-touch suction. This provides an immediate, "locked-in" feel from your very first pose.

  • The Performance Care: Because this material "breathes," it is essential to allow the mat to air-dry completely in a cool, shaded area after every practice.

  • The "Rotation" Rule: For dedicated daily practitioners—especially in heated environments—we recommend having a second mat in your rotation. This allows the open-cell structure to fully shed deep-seated moisture and "reset" its grip, significantly extending the lifespan of your investment.

  • The Trade-off: While the grip is industry-leading, the open nature of the surface means it can absorb skin oils and sweat. These mats require more attentive care—avoiding all oils, studio sprays and harsh chemicals—to keep the pores clear and the traction performing at its peak. Wipe immediately after use with a soft cloth and water or a designated PU-safe mat spray. Never soak or submerge the mat in water, or scrub with anything abrasive.
